We hope you had a good Christmas and New Year and you kept your radio tuned in to us. Perhaps you had the radio tuned to 96.5 on the FM dial or maybe you were streaming the station on your laptop or mobile.
According to the BPI we streamed more music than ever before in 2017, an astonishing total of 68.1 billion songs were streamed by UK music fans.
That's the equivalent of everyone in the country playing 1,036 tracks, or almost three continuous days of music via the world wide web. We're now streaming more songs in a single week than we did in the first six months of 2012.
Despite experiencing the fastest rise in music consumption since 1998 the sales of CD's and digital downloads are in decline and vinyl is making a comeback.
Digital services bring ever increasing numbers of us back to entertainment with 24/7 access to the music, the video and games we
want.
It is the same with Bolton FM and our 'Listen Again' facility on our website.
Currently shows are only available for seven days - so you don't miss out we recommend you listen again as soon as possible after the original broadcast date but you can search and select 148 hours of radio and listen to your favourite show or presenter again. You can even see which shows are popular with other station listeners. To visit our listen again page go to boltonfm.com/listen-again
Happy listening!
Happy New Year from everyone at Bolton FM!
