Thank you for your interest in work experience at Bolton FM. If you're passionate about media, love music, and want to see how live radio works behind the scenes, this is your chance to get involved.

As Bolton’s local radio station, we bring fun, excitement, and energy to the airwaves—now, we want to share that experience with you!

What You’ll Learn:

Broadcasting – How a live radio show is created and aired
Studio Equipment – Hands-on experience with professional gear
Show Planning – The art of timing and structuring a programme
Audio Editing – Cutting, mixing, and preparing content
Create Your Own Show! – Put together a 1-hour radio programme

Schedule & Requirements:

We offer work experience in the mornings, Monday to Thursday.

We’re looking for students who:

Have an interest in media and broadcasting
Enjoy a variety of music
Are computer competent
Regularly listen to the radio or other live media
