It was with great sadness and regret that David Gregory recently told Bolton FM the news he was going to step down from 'Monday Night Jazz'.

Like myself David has been with Bolton FM from the very beginning. Monday Night Jazz has been a regular part of the Bolton FM schedule since 2009 and was an incredibly popular show.

Whether you liked your jazz hot or cool, modern or traditional, David's warm

presenting style and knowledge were a Monday Night highlight.

During his tenure David interviewed local jazz musicians like Fred Shawcross; jazz enthusiasts like Johnny Ball and interviewing the internationally acclaimed Kenny Ball was another highlight.

Along with being passionate about the town and Bolton's community radio station, David proved was a dedicated presenter with a real passion for fans of Jazz.

I know everyone at Bolton FM wishes David well and he will be missed by listeners and fellow presenters alike.

We're pleased to introduce a new show to the Monday night schedule, The Soul Session with Eddie Goff. Eddie is one of our newer presenters who you may have heard on Sunday evenings, between 8pm and 10pm each Monday Eddie will be bringing you a selection of Soul, Funk, Motown and Northern Soul. Local Music Live also makes a return bringing you music from the best new bands and singers around. Every Sunday from 10pm we'll bring you a wide range of music from around the UK with just one thing
in common...it's brand new to the radio.

Today is International Women's Day. The whole of the day's broadcast is given over to female presenters and guests, starting with Vicky Hawksworth from 7am all the way through to Judith Bromley at midnight so turn your radio on, tune in to us and settle down with a brew and listen to a great day of radio.
