While the professionals did the feat in around eight hours, crossing the
finish line in Victoria Square with a smile on their faces, Bolton FM's
volunteers did a magnificent job for us.
Volunteers are very important to us, and we want to hear from you if
you'd be interested in giving some of your spare time to help us. You
may have just the skills we are looking for, or we may have just the
training you need.
As well as being part of broadcast teams, there is plenty of work
needing doing behind the scenes to make sure Bolton FM continues to be a
successful radio station run by our great community, from admin, news
reading, fundraising, interviewing, outside broadcasting, graphic design
to studio and volunteer support.
You can dedicate anything from one hour up to an entire day towards your
voluntary work at our award-winning community radio station. In return
Bolton FM can help you meet new friends, improve confidence, teach you
lots of new skills and improve your CV.
To become a volunteer, all we ask is for a positive attitude, a
willingness to learn and give us what time you can, to become part of a
great team. You can find out more about volunteering with Bolton FM on
our website - Boltonfm.com.
Last weekend's Ironman and Ironkids events were great fun!
Around 2,000 competitors swam, cycled and ran their way to the title of
