Each year, many International Women's Day events are held worldwide -global gatherings, conferences, awards, exhibitions, festivals, fun runs, corporate events, concert performances, speaking events, online digital gatherings and much more.
As on previous International Women's Days, there'll be 'No Boys Aloud' in the studio as each and every show between 7am and midnight will be presented by women living or working in the borough have for their town.
Tune-in at 7am for a fitness breakfast with Sally Bolton from Eat, Train Love who is joined by Maura Jackson and Suzy Orr .
Dawn Lythgoe takes over from 9am for Mid-mornings. Dawn will be joined by colleagues from Bolton Council and special guest, the England Rugby League player and ambassador for the Rugby League World Cup, Jody Cunningham.
This is Bolton is presented by Pat Dickson and Angela Kelly. Pat and Angela will be focusing on the important volunteering work done by women in our community from 11am.
Dr Helen Wall and Georgia McGuiness will be discussing womens health and opportunities for young women in today's work environment between 1-3pm.
Drivetime will be presented by Jayne Hilton and Sophie and will feature guests from the town.
Dorothy Gordon presents The Review Show from 6pm, providing the essential guide to Bolton's top women in the arts.
The Ultimate Dance Show from 8pm showcases two hours of deep house and Dance Anthems to get your weekend off to a great start.
International Women's Day on Bolton is brought to an end by Jennifer English & Chrystal presenting The Realness Radio Show for two hours of hip-hop and R&B.
Finally, Bolton FM's Vicky Hawksworth is our 'station voice' for the day.
International Women's Day takes place Friday 8th March. It is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
