Now they can’t get enough; from Brid Spa to Stoke, from Chesterfield to the Tower Ballroom our young soulies are determined to keep the faith! This is Northern Soul for a new generation, but with rising costs, unemployment, and small town blues, has anything really changed? Is this England 1973 or 2023? The pubs are closing, hospitality has gone, and strikes are everywhere; but when you’re out on the floor … So spread the talc and grab your loafers, our trio are heading for a weekender!

Sally Bowles is a creature of extravagant attitudes, given to parading her vices and enormously confident that she is going to take life in her stride. She is fond of describing herself as an 'extraordinary interesting person,' and she is vaguely disturbing. As we get to know her, as we watch her make frightened arrangements for an illegal operation, seize at the tinseled escape offered by a rich and worthless American playboy, attempt to rehabilitate herself and fail ludicrously. I am a Camera is based on the 1939 novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood and in turn is the play which inspired the Broadway hit Cabaret and catapulted Liza Minelli into a worldwide stardom. This uproarious, poignant and rewarding drama received the Critics Award in 1952.

In Stoke on Trent in the early seventies, a young Gordon Hendricks played to an imaginary crowd. Harmonizing his voice to a constant soundtrack, played on repeat by his sisters. The music was Rock n Roll. The Artist was Elvis. Little did he know then that his performance in his potteries home would lead to a phenomenal career impersonating The King, working with his legendary musicians in years to come. Karaoke led to ITV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes’ where he rose from runner-up to series champion winning by a record number of votes. Watched by 12 million viewers astounded by their ears and eyes. And it wasn’t just the public. Elvis’ own songwriter Geoff Morrow was watching. Touched by Gordon’s voice that “recaptured the spirit of the song”, Geoff signed Gordon to his label and the two recorded and released “Where Will I Be”, a song originally written for Elvis. Gordon’s received many accolades. The greatest being crowned ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artiste Champion 2017’ on stage at Graceland for the second time, competing against global artists. He’s toured the world and now he’s coming home. ‘The King’s Voice” tour transports you through time from the ‘68 special through to the Vegas era, breathing soul into ballads and those iconic jumpsuit numbers that set the stage on fire. There’s only one Elvis Presley and there’s only one artiste who captures his spirit on stage – the inimitable Gordon Hendricks.

Celebrating Shakespeare Week 2025 - A Show for the whole Family! Shakespeare arrives at Queen Elizabeth’s court to put on his latest play, only to realise that the actors haven’t been booked, The script has been left behind and the only people able to help are two women (who at the time were banned from performing on the stage!). Over the next 60 minutes the audience is introduced to some of Shakespeare’s most iconic excerpts from his plays as the trio try to create a play for Queenie from what they can remember – anything so that they don’t lose their heads! The production gives a fun and engaging introduction to Shakespeare and is aimed at families with children aged 8 upwards. It’s a hilarious and educational show, with edited and accessible versions of scenes from the Bard's most popular plays (Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream) – a great introduction to Shakespeare for young people, and there’s quite a bit of audience interaction too!
